National Roads Telecommunications Service (NRTS)

In April 2006 Pinehall were awarded a major sub contract by PEEK Traffic as part of the NRTS Project and will be instrumental in providing expertise and services to the Genesys consortium in taking on the existing communications infrastructure, maintenance, and provisioning works from current national and regional contractors, developing and deploying a new converged high speed network, and maintaining the new network for the period of the contract.

To support the NRTS project and Peek Traffic Pinehall are currently providing the following services.

• Optical fibre engineering for testing and fault finding of the existing network.
• Optical fibre splicing and reconfiguration of 930 CCTV camera sites countrywide.
• Electrical installation of 930 AMG units in 600 cabinets throughout the network.
• Data capture and survey works covering 7500km of HA assets.
• Periodic inspection and testing of all transmission stations to BS7671 : 2008
• Electrical power separation of GeneSYS and HA assets at all transmission sites throughout the country.
• Electrical installation and commissioning of Alcatel equipment at all transmission stations to include the commissioning of SAFT ups equipment.
• Project Management services for aspects of the contract.

The NRTS contract places Pinehall Communications Ltd in a strategic market position providing a platform on which we can continue to grow and develop our business further. We look forward to working with Peek Traffic and its GeneSYS partners to deliver the biggest and most important HA contract to date.
